    ( reviews)
    RM100.00

    Color
Pale straw with lime green hues

    Nose
Varietally attuned with nectarine fruits and a subtle oak toastiness.
These cues are supported by scents of white blossom and just a hint of flint and grapefruit pithiness.
Dare it be suggested – quite a serious Chardonnay aromatic offering!

    Palate
Fresh and vibrant, fresh peach and tropical fruit flavours abound.

  • Penfolds St Henri Shiraz

    ( reviews)
    RM450.00

    Region:
McLaren Vale, Robe, The Peninsulas, Barossa Valley, Wrattonbully, Adelaide Hills, Mt Benson

    Grape :
    Shiraz 93%, Cabernet Sauvignon 7%

    Tasting Notes :
St Henri is a time-honoured and alternative expression of shiraz, and an intriguing counterpoint to Grange. It is unusual among high quality Australian red wines as it does not rely on any new oak. Released for the first time by Penfolds in the early 1950s (first commercial vintage 1957), it gained a new lease of life in the 1990s as its quality and distinctive style became better understood. Proudly, a wine style that hasn’t succumbed to the dictates of fashion or commerce. St Henri is rich and plush when young, gaining soft, earthy, mocha-like characters as it ages. It is matured in old, large oak vats that allow the wine to develop, imparting minimal, if any oak character. Although a small proportion of cabernet is sometimes used to improve structure, the focal point for St Henri remains shiraz.

  • Penfolds Bin 2 Shiraz Mourvedre

    ( reviews)
    RM161.00

    Region:
Upper Adelaide, Wrattonbully, Barossa Valley, Padthaway, McLaren Vale, Langhorne Creek

    Grape :
    Shiraz 82%, Mataro 18%

    Tasting Notes :
Bin 2 Shiraz Mataro is a classic Penfolds wine, steeped in nineteenth-century tradition. Typically it is a generous medium-bodied wine based on shiraz, but shot with the aromatics and muscular strength of mataro. It’s best to drink early, but like many of Penfolds reds can last the distance in the cellar.

Interest in Bin 2 has grown as the popularity of traditional Rhône varieties and blends continues to flourish.

    Grape :
    Cabernet Sauvignon

    Tasting Notes :
In 707 perfectly reflects the Penfolds ‘House Style’ through a cabernet sauvignon lens: intensely-flavoured fruit; completion of fermentation and maturation in new oak; expressing a Penfolds understanding of multi-vineyard, multi-region fruit sourcing. Bin 707 was first vintaged in 1964.

Full-bodied and with proven cellaring potential, Bin 707 retains a secure place among the ranks of Australia’s finest cabernets.

    ( reviews)
    RM3,695.00

    Region:
Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Wrattonbully, Coonawarra, Clare Valley, Magill Estate

    Grape :
    Shiraz 98%, Cabernet Sauvignon 2%

    Tasting Notes :
The original and most powerful expression of Penfolds multi-vineyard, multi-district blending philosophy, Grange is arguably Australia’s most celebrated wine and is officially listed as a Heritage Icon of South Australia. Crafted utilising fully-ripe, intensely-flavoured and structured Shiraz grapes, the result is a unique Australian style that is now recognised as one of the most consistent of the world’s great wines. With an unbroken line of vintages from the experimental 1951, Grange clearly demonstrates the synergy between Shiraz and the soils and climates of South Australia.

Grange was recently recognised as a First Growth in Liv-ex’s recreation of the Bordeaux 1855 classification.

  • Penfolds RWT Barossa Shiraz 2021

    ( reviews)
    RM749.00

    Region:
    Barossa Valley

    Grape :
    Shiraz

    Tasting Notes :
RWT Barossa Valley Shiraz presents an admirable alternative to the multi-regional sourcing and American oak maturation that are hallmarks of Grange, expressing instead, single region Barossa Valley shiraz matured only in French oak.
The initials RWT stand for ‘Red Winemaking Trial’, the name given to the project internally when developmental work began in 1995. Naturally, now no longer a ‘Trial’, RWT Shiraz was launched in May 2000 with the 1997 vintage. Its style is opulent and fleshy, contrasting with Grange, which is more muscular
and assertive. RWT is made from fruit primarily selected for its aromatic qualities and lush texture. The result is a wine that helps to redefine Barossa shiraz at the highest quality level.

  • Penfolds Bin 8 Cabernet Shiraz

    ( reviews)
    RM188.00

    Color
Crimson core and vibrant purple highlights at the rim.

    Nose
Cabernet hallmarks are more prominent than what the composition would suggest – white pepper, blackberry leaf and punnets of fresh raspberries ascend.
Well seasoned carpaccio, brine and sea salt purity…?
Red fruits and liquorice, from the Shiraz or the Cabernet? Source unknown!
A quintessential Australian blend, yet still “modern” in identity.

    Palate
Shiraz foundations emerge with generosity and vinous energy.
A steely, graphite core and rhubarb succulence imprint.
A defined and focussed structure emerges … a trait that is often mentioned across previous vintages of Bin 8 … it is at home here!
At first the tannin structure is grainy, and becomes powder-like in texture upon sitting in the glass…
Hungarian paprika, pomegranate and berry coulis abound.
French and American oak each offer support … contributing to the spice spectrum, binding the palate and ensuring compliant tannins.

    South Australia

    Grape :
    Cabernet Sauvignon

    Tasting Notes :
Penfolds Max’s Cabernet Sauvignon is a tribute to former Chief Winemaker Max Schubert 1948-1975, a legend in Penfolds history. Max’s constant pursuit of excellence paved the way for those who followed in his footsteps and also allowed the status and heritage of Penfolds to grow.

Max’s Cabernet Sauvignon displays the Penfolds ‘stamp’ inspired by Max Schubert.
The aromatic enticement is rewarded from the first sip. Ripe raspberry, bramble
black currant and blood plum flesh out the fruit spectrum. Oak derived cassia bark and dark liquorice notes temper the gorgeous fruits.
Taught, lingering tannins create texture and definition.

Stone fruits persist amid a pistachio nougat-like creaminess, more than likely derived from extended time on yeast lees.
Up-front oak tannins and long, lingering acidity combine to create an enticing phenolic ‘grip’, enhancing the overall structure of the palate.
    Delightfully approachable.

    Region:
Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Padthaway, Coonawarra, Langhorne Creek

    Grape :
    77% Shiraz, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon

    Nose:
Energetic red fruits wrapped around a steely spine.
Aromatics belie the wines regional composition. Ripeness has been swapped for pink peppercorn, white plum and the complexities of fresh Thai mint – more reminiscent of cool climate pockets around the world. Red mulberry and white chocolate offer sweetness.

    Palate:
Raspberry and white chocolate generosity persists on the palate.
Tannins appear effortless and enmeshed within fruit, namely white cherry and rhubarb.
Oak sits in the background and layered behind crunchy acidity.
